Be the voice for a child in Morgan County.

Morgan County is small, rural, and often overlooked — which is exactly why its children need advocates who live there. CASA of the Eastern Panhandle has served Morgan County since 2020, and we need more neighbors from Berkeley Springs, Paw Paw, and Great Cacapon to step up.

The need in the Eastern Panhandle

Children in Morgan County are waiting.

Morgan County is our smallest county and has the fewest advocates — so a handful of new volunteers here makes an outsized difference.

Your community

Volunteering in Berkeley Springs, Paw Paw & Great Cacapon

Whether you’re in Berkeley Springs, Paw Paw, Great Cacapon, or out toward Hancock, you can serve a Morgan County child without leaving the county for most of the work. Child visits happen where the child lives or goes to school, and court is in Berkeley Springs.

What a Morgan County case looks like

You’re matched with a child or siblings. You visit them regularly, talk with their teachers, caregivers, and caseworker, and write a report the judge actually reads. Most advocates give 10–15 hours a month, and a CASA-EP supervisor is with you on every case.

I liked being the one that never gave up on her. Sometimes the threads that tether children to caring adults aren’t always there.
