As we step into 2025 with renewed energy and commitment, we take a moment to celebrate the incredible accomplishments of CASA of the Eastern Panhandle in 2024. Thanks to our dedicated volunteers, generous supporters, and passionate community members, we’ve been able to make a lasting impact on the lives of children in need.
2024 Highlights: A Year of Progress and Growth
Last year was a year of expansion, advocacy, and transformation. Here’s what we achieved together:
- 475 children served – a 13% increase from 2023
- 86 CASA volunteers actively advocating for children in the foster care system
- 28 new CASA advocates sworn in, growing our network of dedicated voices
- 3,688 volunteer hours tracked—ensuring that every child we serve has a strong advocate by their side
Expanding Our Reach
In 2024, CASA of the Eastern Panhandle made significant strides in broadening our services and strengthening our foundation:
- Fostering Futures and Education Advocacy & Scholarships: We expanded our programming to provide specialized support for older youth, ensuring they have access to educational resources and opportunities.
- New Office in Downtown Charles Town: With our new location, we are more accessible to the community and better equipped to serve children and families.
- New Grants Awarded: These additional funds allow us to grow our programs and make an even greater impact.
- New Staff Members: With the growth of our team, we are enhancing our ability to support our volunteers and advocate for more children.
Looking Ahead to 2025
As we move forward, we remain committed to serving even more children, recruiting more CASA volunteers, and expanding our impact across the Eastern Panhandle. But we can’t do it alone.
