Since 2003, CASA-EP and its group of extraordinary volunteer advocates have been the voice of nearly 5,000 children who have experienced abuse or neglect.
Our staff and volunteers are unstoppable advocates for a child’s best interest. They sustain this dedication despite the heartbreak and complexity of the cases, child welfare system dysfunctions, and diverse needs of children and youth in foster care. Their tireless efforts also make a big difference—children who have a CASA-EP advocate spend less time in foster care, access more resources, and do better in school. The older youth we serve are also much better prepared for young adulthood and independent living.
We have experienced much growth over the last 21 years, but the child welfare system has grown at an even faster pace. Last year, we served 425 children—but that is only half the children who could benefit from the advocacy, programming, and resources CASA-EP provides.
