Recently, CASA of the Eastern Panhandle hosted a special bowling outing for the youth in our Fostering Futures program, thanks to the generosity and coordination of ARGOS. The event, held at a local bowling alley in Martinsburg, was filled with laughter, excitement, and a strong sense of community.
Cari Lefeber, CASA’s Director of Programs, expressed her gratitude for the long-standing relationship with ARGOS:
“We have been working with ARGOS for several years now, and the relationship has grown. They are very supportive of our Fostering Futures program and recognize that young people are the future of our community.”
The idea for the bowling outing came directly from ARGOS, who wanted to create a fun and memorable experience for the kids. “They came to me and said they wanted to do something fun for the kids, and the bowling party came about,” Cari explained. “They organized everything—we just got the kids to show up—and sponsored it all.”
The evening was made even more special by the thoughtful details ARGOS included. “It was amazing because they brought in Chick-fil-A and put together gift bags for the kids,” Cari said. “They wanted to get something warm and cozy for the winter, so they purchased each kid a fleece-lined hoodie, some Takis, and a $25 Crumbl gift card.”
For many of the kids, the highlight of the night was the arcade. “One of the best parts was seeing the kids be so excited to have a bowl full of quarters they could just grab handfuls of for the arcade,” Cari shared.
This unforgettable event is just one example of the ongoing support ARGOS provides for CASA. Their dedication to making a difference in the lives of vulnerable youth is inspiring, and we are deeply grateful for their partnership.
